Career Change Cycle Stage 3: Career/Life Decision-Making
The main question needing an answer in Stage 3 is: "To what are you willing to commit?" The self-assessment done in Stage 1 and Stage 2 are preliminary to answer: What are you going to do with this new self-knowledge? Stage 3 involves establishing short and long-term career/life plans, developing a time line, goal setting, and conducting research for career clarification and job leads.
When moving into this stage of career transition many people are weighing the benefits and rewards as well as the obstacles and risks to making desired changes. The following resources are offered:
