Gives Back to the Community
A portion of all
client and workshop fees goes toward supporting groups and causes we believe
are important to our community.
We support the following
organizations in their efforts of creating a better world for all of us:
American Friends
Service Committee - www.afsc.org
The American Friends Service Committee, an independent Quaker organization,
was founded in 1917 to provide conscientious objectors with an opportunity
to aid civilian victims during World War I. Today it carries on programs
of service, development, social justice, and peace education in 22 foreign
countries and 43 places in the United States. Through the years, the work
has attracted the support and partnership of people of many races, religions,
and cultures. Its work is based on the Quaker belief that in the dignity
and worth of every person and on faith in the power of love and nonviolence
to bring about social change.
Center For the
Prevention of Sexual and Domestic Violence - www.cpsdv.org
The Center is an interreligious, educational resource serving both religious
and secular communities. The Center is a member of the Commission on Family
Ministries and Human sexuality of the National Council of Churches of
Christ, the national Coalition Against Sexual Assault, the National Coalition
Against Domestic Violence, and the Women's Funding Alliance.
Ground Zero Center
for Nonviolent Action - www.gzcenter.org
The Center offers the opportunity to explore the meaning and practice
of nonviolence from a perspective of deep spiritual reflection, providing
a means for witnessing to and resisting all nuclear weapons, especially
Trident.
Mental Health
Chaplaincy - 206-622-2472
The Chaplaincy provides outreach to homeless, mentally ill individuals;
attends to the spiritual issues faced in the course of mental illness;
helps equip the religious community for ministry and services in the mental
health field; and advocates for an accessible, effective community mental
health system.
Nature Conservancy

The mission of the Nature Conservancy is to preserve the plants, animals
and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth
by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive.
Southern Poverty
Law Center - www.splcenter.org
The Southern Poverty Law Center is a nonprofit organization that combats
hate, intolerance, and discrimination through education and litigation.
Its programs include Teaching Tolerance and the Intelligence Project,
which incorporates Klanwatch and the Militia Task Force. The center also
sponsors the Civil Rights memorial, which celebrates the memory of 40
individuals who died during the Civil Rights Movement.
